I have a 110 gallon, dual overflow tank. I currently have a eco-plus 1267. After performing the scheduled maintenance, pump performance has decreased and it is also getting louder as the days past. Does anyone have suggestions for a new submersible pump?

Thanks for your help.

After about an hour of researching, I'm thinking about trying the Eheim 1262. Any thoughts or concerns?

Eheims are awesome pumps from what I've read but can't say I've had personal experience with them. I've just stuck with what I started to use and have never had an issue. I've used rios as well for skimmers and wc pumps and they work very well also.

I agree with mag drives... ive never had a problem with mine and is cost affective. Looking at $110-130 for a mag drive 9.5 they also have larger mag drive available. I cant speak for other pumps... one of my LFSs runs rios on their set ups and the motors are great but they have replaced the impeller assy. Multiple times because they swell and break.

Look into Taam Rio HyperFlo pumps. The BEST pump for the money. Ceramic shaft and bearings. They don't heat up like Mag drives, use less wattage, high head pressure, and way less money. I run an external on my SPS tank but for my mixed reef I just picked up a HF26, 1500+gph, 13' max head for $78 shipped to my door from Amazon.com I had a HF17 on my last mixed 1090gph. They have a wide variety of sizes too. Just check them out. Make sure it's the Hyper Flo though, they are different than the other rios. I never had any problems with it.
