Hmmmm. Maybe I'll get the dremel out, instead. I have, when my kids were younger, carved several pumpkins at a time with those kits, and my hands would be sore for a week.
 
I carved two yesterday for the grandsons. The traditional eyes, nose, and snaggletoothed mouth. I did it all with a steak knive. It actually took longer to clean out all the seed and stringy mess on the inside than it did to carve the faces. The boys were right by my side coaching me all the way. I think their daddy did the "A" punkin.
