When I still used a chiller, I ran the return pump through it then fed my Oceans Motions Squirt two way off the return. No sense adding an additional pump and the heat it generates to run a separate chiller loop, kind of defeats the purpose. I also use one pump to run several reactors including a calcium reactor, GFO and carbon. Lower power bills and lower heat generation and takes up much less real estate in and around the sump.
You might also look at more efficient pumps. Rio is not the best and when you consider a pump runs 24/7/365 a few watts really adds up. Using a Kill A Watt meter (less than $25 at HD or Lowes) and monitoring my power consumption and utility bills I cut my aquarium electical usage by $50-$60 a month by combining pump needs with more efficient pumps, switching from MH and VHO lighting with a 1/4HP chiller to LED lighting and adjusting the times some equipment and lights run to take advantage of my "time of day" electric rate. I was running lights all day long when I wasn't home at the higher rate and switched so things come on about the time I get home in the afternoon and go off later on the lower rate, made a huge difference and now I get to see the tanks until I go to bed! The corals and fish don't care what time it is outside.
