Puncturing Bubble Algae - Yes/No?

My tank is starting to get some bubble algae and not all of it is in a place where I can easily pick it off etc. I’ve heard that people now say it’s okay to pop / puncture bubble algae. Would appreciate the thoughts of this group. Thanks in advance

To my knowledge, it is single cell so popping it is not propagate it.

It's like popping bubble wrap, lots of fun.

If popping it spreads it then my Foxface would not have been able to eradicate it. Same with crabs, so popping is ok

I don't think popping them makes it worse. However, I just learned to live with bubble algae it's not a big deal anymore. Kinda looks cool, blends it when the blue lights are on.

Popping does not release spores. Just another myth. Pop away

Apparently, no problems to puncture? Maybe turn down whites, close blinds to eliminate growth/ via direct sunlight white lights
