So after trying to avoid phosphate removal by chemical means for so long, I finally broke down and bought a phosban reactor 150. I got pura phoslock as the media. The directions say to add 1 tbsp for every 25 gallons. I have a 50 gallon tank and started off with 1 tbsp so I don't shock the corals. However even 2tbsp is less than a quarter inch in the reactor... this just doesn't seem right. Any advise?
