Purchasing CUC Members

I am having difficulty finding two members of my CUC in stock on sites. I've tried RC and LA. I am looking for Trochus Snails (3-5) and a peppermint Shrimp. I would appreciate it if anyone could recommend a decent place where they have them both in stock to purchase.

I think trochus are seasonal as some parts of the year you just can't get them. I just stick with turbos for the most part. As for peppermint shrimp, algaebarn has them.

I didn't check the website, but sometimes AlgaeBarn has the trochus snails. They are by far my favorite snail because 1) they can turn themselves upright and 2) they have babies!

I prefer Astreas, and while they can’t flip themselves over, the reason I prefer them over Trochus snails is precisely because they don’t reproduce like mad a ruin my impellers by getting baby snails stuck in pumps! ReefTopia is a great site for Astreas and Peppermints as well as blue legged and scarlet reef hermits. In fact, I just got my order in from them today for a dozen each of Astreas and Scarlet hermits and half a dozen large Peppermints to nip a small Aiptasia issue in the bud. I’ve ordered several times from ReefTopia and they are top notch for sure!

Are you sure those aren't just mini snails ant not baby trochus? I have had trochus for a while and they have never had babies. However, there are species of snails tht are tiny and look like baby trochus which is why I asked.

Nope, they were definitely Banded Trochus snails. And they made lots of baby Banded Trochus snails. In my current tank, I only keep Astreas and Scarlet Reef hermits for my CUC. So far, no jammed impellers, so good!
