I've read through several of the DYI Co2 scrubbers and took ideas and concepts from them all and built mine so I figured I would go ahead and post it.
I used a 2 liter Pure Leaf Tea bottle as the container

Here is all of the components
3/8 OD clear PVC tube that I threaded 5/6-24 on one end to screw into hose barb
3/16 hose barb with 1/4 MNPT threads to screw into cap that I tapped 5/16-24 to receive tube, I cut all but the last barb off.
3/16 hose barb with 1/8 MNPT threads again cut all but the last barb off

I drilled a 1/2 hole in the cap to screw the output barb into and a 3/8 hole in the top side for the intake barb to screw into I used a barb here just in case i need to boost flow with a little air pressure

And here it is all loaded up and ready to go

Hope this helps somebody as much as all the others has helped me

I think you would at a minimum need to put a moisture catcher inline in front of this. It still might get the media wet at the bottom. If you could suspend the media off the bottom 1" I think that would solve a future problem.

*****Might be fine if you are NOT recirculating

Thanks I will keep an eye on that, not recirculating just going into skimmer air port

Have you hooked this up and what impact your pH
PH has been running between 8 and 8.2 consistently this morning it is 8.4 so I do believe it is working I will keep checking everyday at the same time for the next week and see if it stays consistent.

It is definitely absorbing Co2

Very nice! Great job!

Update: PH stayed at 8.4 for about a week and then started climbing until checker gave me a flashing 8.6 so started only hooking it up at night when lights were off same problem so quit using it only to realize that I had a bad reagent batch from Hanna they sent a replacement and PH was running at 7.8-7.9 so hooked scrubber back up and have been at 8.3 consistently everyday for two weeks now.
