Trying Purigen for the first time. I am wondering, as seachem mentions amine products interacting with chlorine during regeneration to produce chloramines, a couple of things.
1) Would amino acids bound to Purigen interact with chlorine to produce chloramines during regeneration?
2) Would it be possible for trace chlorine from my bleach washed filter socks to interact with any amino acids bound to Purigen still in the aquarium to form chloramines?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks
