Hi All,

I noticed the other day this purple algae like growth on my rocks. I can take a scraper or my finger and it scratches off but grows back very quick. Any idea what it is and how I can get rid of it. I noticed it started when I glue the Kenya trees on the rock in question.

What kind of fish could put in there to take care of it. this all started after I did a water change last week. I have a Diamond Goby, Skunk Shrimp and Sergant Major in there now. I don't mind taking a fish out to put another in if it will take care of the problem.

Suck it out with a hose, I get it around this time of year also.

There are many threads you can read to help you better understand issues like this. Here is one.

It's Cyano bacteria, as stated above manual removal is the best way to start combating it.
