Purple Aptasia?

Hi everyone, hope your doing well.

I have this purple guy on my back glass. I thought aphasia was green, this looks very purple under blue light. Here is a photo with white nico bar turned up and UV bars off. Please let me know:

Can you take a more clear pic please so we can properly identify it. Also, aiptasia is mostly brown/beige not green.

I was afraid I would need better pictures. Should we get an under water go pro? So.ething else that works better?

It’s definitely an aiptasia. There are a few different species, and they look different under different lighting and different conditions.

There is no need for a go pro. If it is an aiptasia you'll need to kill it properly. Ideally, if you can target a siphon at it and then kill it with hot water for example that will be good because the siphon will suck out whatever the aiptasia might release into the water. They can reproduce asexually so you need to be careful. I suggest you watch a few vids on how to properly kill one. Do not wait too long though, the longer you wait the more likely it might reproduce.
