I am hearing the "Weird Science" theme song pulsing in the back ground of this thread. That is so wild, but if it can be done with other things (fruits and roses for one) why not coral? I can see a lot of hands being rubbed together while crazy color combos swirl thru their heads and sinister giggles are heard!!

As for what new polyps would look like... Wouldn't it just produce the normal polyps of both types depending on which side they branch off from?

Only time will tell. I think they are talking about new polyp growth two face. two face don't have a side the colors are mixed into one polyp.

cool!
they are the same type of protopaly so it makes sense for them to do so right? sometimes I'd also see zoas from the same ocean mix in color to create a new morph. I've always wanted to see what happens when you rub the surface of 2 types of zoas together and see if the zooxanthellae will morph...

That is awesome!!! Now the wheels are turning... I wonder...

Oh yeah, and thank you for sharing!!! That is simply amazing

your welcome. I'm trying really hard to get the funds together to buy the Nikon d90 Camera With the nikon Micro lens so i can update thread with pics on a weekly basis. my point and shot is not making it.

Wow, this is amazing....oh the possiblities if it works. Cant wait to see some babies from this thing and if they are morphed or not!

I wonder if the new growth will color up depending on what side it grows out from, IE purple on the purple side and green on the green side or will it be a combo of the two like the original.
