We haven't seen our purple firefish going on 3 days, and I'm wondering if it's possible that its burrow has been somehow either covered in sand or perhaps even blocked by a piece of rock/rubble?

Is that a thing? I'm not sure what to do other than perhaps try to move a bunch of rock around to see if it's stuck somewhere?

Any thoughts on this?

thanks!

Im sure it’s okay mine use to hide for days they are very shy fish it could feel intimidated

Likely still there if he ain’t on the floor.
Quite shy if there are faster players.

They do hide and they do jump. I had one in a small nano many years ago and found him all dried up on the floor behind the tank. Didn't know at the time that they're such good jumpers.
