I got a frag of purple gonipora. I know the reputation of it (and my LFS said he'd exchange if I had issues), but I like the challenge.

I placed it on a rock face, sort of tiled up. It's starting to open but the bottom portion is opening slower. Is this an OK placement or should I secure it in a flatter area?

I believe they will do best in medium light and medium-low. I would factor that in before how flat the rock is.
Beautiful coral, hope it does well for you! I haven’t risked buying one just yet but maybe eventually.

Its in medium flow, seems the shadow of the top polyps is causing no light to reach the bottom, but they are starting to come out more. I'll let it sit here for a bit (it was a pain to mount with putty epoxy), but will move it if it doesn't change.
