How big are the heads? I just finished cycling my new Redsea 350 for the last 8 weeks and I have been reading that corals like Frog Spawns, Torches, and Hammers are very hardy and usually do well in newly cycled tanks. What are your thoughts about that?

I haven’t had good luck with torches, but this hammer went in my tank at 6 weeks old, and that was 6 years ago.

The “secret” is to leave your tank alone once you have correct salinity, just top with fresh non-salt DI water when it evaporates down 1/2”.
Stability is key, and comes from non intervention.

if you “fed” your tank, and watched tests to make sure you’re through the cycle and only left with a little nitrates, then you’re good. You may go thru blooms of plankton, algae, cloudiness, just have patience and don’t do anything.
A head is usually 2-3 inches wide and 4-6 inches tall depending on the stalk length, which I will keep short to save on shipping.

As of now, ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates are all at 0. I haven't checked alkalinity yet because I am waiting on my test kit. PH seems to just stay at 7.8. I have an ATO and the salinity has stayed constant at 33ppm the hole time. I did think I was going to get some algae blooms by now but I haven't got any so far. The water stays nice and clear. I haven't started dosing anything yet, but should I start if I add this guy to my tank. I have had a couple of clown fish in the tank for a couple of weeks now and they seem to be very happy. I'll take 3 heads if you think my tank is ready....just your opinion, I won't hold you to it if it doesn't work out. Also, should I dip it before adding to my tank?

Sounds like you’re ready to me.

I never dosed. I don’t recommend it, as it’s where accidents happen and you have two years minimum worth of necessary minerals in your salt mix for a decent amount of coral
