Do you think it’s worth getting this product? I have a lot of green coraline algae on the walls, and I just recently started getting a pink dot or two on the walls as well, but I kinda want to speed up the process with this product, but is it worth it? Will it work? What do you think?

I have just used this last week. I have a 2 year old reef with pretty much no coraline algae (a few tiny spots here and there, but not really growing at all). I have never really properly seeded my tank with coraline algae before. So I decided to try ARC coraline algae in a bottle. I was a bit skeptical if I would see results but within a few days I saw a massive coraline algae outbreak which I have never seen before. There are now tons of purple spots all over my rock that are rapidly growing. Obviously my tank is old enough and mature enough for rapid coraline growth. My issue seemed to be no real source of coraline algae to begin with. I recommend it!

I started my nano with dry white reef saver and some fake purple rock. After a month I dumped this product into the tank, and within 2 months had purple and pink spots growing everywhere. Now I have too much after 7 months and need to pull my equipment and soak it to get the coraline off. I dont have any empirical evidence, but I believe that it works well.

Don't do it, coralline's a pest lol. I added the pink version and now I'm regretting it. Doesn't seem to bother my acros but my smaller zoas get surrounded by coralline and it starts growing up the stalks. Doesn't seem to kill them, but the stalk turns white and the zoa stops growing. Not to mention you'll probably get coralline on some frag plug, no need to buy extra. It also consumes alk/cal/mag so you end up having to dose more and adjusting the dose whenever you remove some during cleaning.

My tank looks like the surface of the moon, rocks are all white. I'm putting this stuff in today.

Put in the coraline algae. I started getting some coraline before, but very very little. My tank is finally stable enough to support the algae, so I decided to seed some to speed up the process. I have no problems adding Cal, alk, and mag, as I’m already dosing it!

After half a year or so of having my small fluval evo 13.5 I went to my LFS and asked them to scrape some of their coraline algae into a bag for me. I ground up the chunks into a paste with tank water, and a few months after that my entire back glass and all edges of all sides had coraline growing. Now theyre mostly purple besides the two viewing panes i keep clean. Save yourself $15 and use it for a new frag or some trace minerals/elements

So I can personally testify to this stuff working. I added it to a new tank, within one month coralline algae had completely taken over. This stuff is no joke...

The trick to it working fast is maintaining PH a over 8.1. It will still work with a PH of 7.9 but the higher the PH the faster it works.
