I bought a 3 polyp frag of PH's they have been in my system for 3 days and won't open. Is this something I should be worried about, or do they take time to settle in?
Tank Parameters:

Ph 8.0
Alk 8.5 Dkh
Mag 1400
Cal 375
Po4 0
Nitrates undetectable

They are very finicky, IME. I would say give them some more time and see how they respond, but try to keep them in the same place.

I am going through the same thing right now with my 2 polyp frag of PH. Had them since Tuesday. They started to open the first day, but never fully opened. My my 2 polyp frag of RH opened up right away and are doing great. I'm just leaving mine alone and hoping for the best.

I agree with subielover, give them some time.....I think mine took well over a week to fully open....but once they settled in they looked great!

good luck,
Darren

Give them upto 2 weeks. I have seen them take that long in the past

I have tried 4 frags from 4 different people and they all melted. They are just one that I can't keep alive for some reason, though I have 60 plus varieties alive and well in my tank.

Wow, I am surprised to hear this, I have had very little trouble with by purple hornets so far. When I frag them they will close up for about a 5-10 days.

mine did the same for longer though. when i got my red, purple and blue they stayed closed for a week or so before they fully opened. i put DT's phyto in my tank and it seems to help the zoas get full and plump.
ones they settle, they will grow great and look awesome.
