Are these two called purple hornet? They are different in their mouth.

the second picture is mine....they are true purple hornets...the first pic are a morph...i think the guy was calling them blue hornets.

I say Aquasd's are the real thing. Though my camera didn't grab the deeper purple you can plainly see the inner yellow/green and outer purple skirts. Mouth parameter is the same purple shade as the outer face.

I completely agree. The frag that I got from Will continues to color up and is doing great. It won't take long before they look almost identical to others. Very beautiful specimen.

I have gotten mine from aquasd at first the colors werent as defined but i can tell it has colored up it has been about 2 weeks now. hopefuly it will get even more

now i just wish i had a camera to take pics :/

IME, they like a lot of light to maintain the bright purple/yellow... I would keep them higher up on your tank Tom... and give them decent flow... the frags I had were on a frag rack directly across Vortech MP40... good luck with them...

that guy that sold those was on RC....he said they were from Aquaden...there was a little back and forth and people got banned...never ending up being the truth...and i am almost 100% positive they arent from marv...look nothing like his stock and he only traded a few pieces in the last year. Give them some time and they will hopefully color up...that was a good deal if you won it via the auction on ebay.
