Thanks for taking the time to read this! I just purchased a Purple Long Tentacle Anenome from my LFS. It has great color and stickiness, both of which i check prior to purchasing. My current issue is that this type of nem is supposed to bury its foot in the sand bed (mine is 6 inches) but it hasnt done so yet. I left my vortechs off for 24 hours so the nem wouldnt blow around the tank but at this point i need to get the vortechs back on but am concerned about the nem as well. Does anyone have any tips on getting the nem to bury itself? Should i take the initiative and help with the burying process? Thanks again!

First, is there any damage (( even a pin head sized hole )) to the bottom (( usually the middle )) of the foot?

What size tank?
Current parameters, with numbers please.
What lights?
What lights was it under?
How long has your tank been set up?

A fully healthy M. doreensis would be able to dig its own hole, but you can try digging a hole yourself and placing the anemone in there, and push the sand back around it.
