This frag has been in the tank for a few weeks. Both the zoa and the GSP have grown fast. What worries me is the purple mat that is taking over on the left. The mat isn't the same color as the new growth from the GSP (see bottom front of picture). So I don't know if the mat is part of the GSP or something different to worry about. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Gsp mat is purple. It usually is seen
Before you see the polyps.
The growth looks like the gsp mat forming. If it is cyano you will be able to use a turkey baster and blow it off.
+1 The skeletal structure of GSP is a dark purple color and will spread before eventually seeing polyps starting to out. GSP is a fast grower.

Edit, after looking carefully again, I do see the cyano getting around the palys. Use a turkey baster and it’ll blow off easily.

You can see the mat of the gsp towards the bottom of the pic. It's a lighter purple than what is showing between those 2 corals. I still say cyano is between those corals.
