I've had a purple Stylophora colony for quite some time:

In the last month or so, I've been increasing my lighting and started dosing aminos and carbohydrates again. Now I'm not sure what I have:

I'm not worried because I don't think it's bleaching, and the tips are actually fluorescent green like they are during periods of good growth.

Thoughts?

Looked healthier to me in the first pic, you said increasing your lights?

When you say dosing carbohydrates, do you mean carbon dosing?

I started increasing the length of the run time on my T5s to combat shading.

I also started up adding Red Sea Reef Energy A/B, so started dosing amini acids and carbohydrates.

And the white spots in the second picture are not bleached...just a really bad pic. I wish I could take a pic that better showed the difference that the eye sees.

my guess would be light. When I kept them, they realllllly didn’t like when I turned my tank into an acro tank. But there is also an infinite list of other factors at play

Thanks. I'm going to hold off on additional photoperiod increases to see what happens.

I agree with everyone else....looks like it is having a hard time adjusting to the increase in lighting.
Well, after I signed off yesterday, I remembered that I did increase the whiteness on my Kessils from 50% to 60% (for purely aesthetic purposes), so I did a little test. After I lowered whiteness back down to 50%, the color was more purple. Not as purple as several months ago, but more purple than above. I do believe that both are factors in the appearance of the coral, and I'm just going to hold still for now and let it catch up.
