Tank has coralline growing on power heads wires glass and rocks in the purple and pink types. Not sure if this would be coralline that didn’t attach to a rock a just is growing but it is all over. There is a pile of it accumulated on bottom of tank where power head pushes it. It looks like the same colors of the two colors of coralline I have and it is oval/round multiple sizes and kinda looks like it has growth circle or rings when you look at it close up. It is on rocks and is slightly attached and can be blown off with a turkey baster. In the photos you can see it on rocks and accumulated on dead drag still in frag rock. All of the places it is in these photos it can be moved with water flow but not easily otherwise it would be blowing around with flow but enough direct flow and it blows away. Any ideas if this is just a lot of coralline or something else.

+1 on cyano, looks like a little bit of GHA as Well, I'm currently fighting something similar. The purple ovals almost look like a bunch of mushrooms to me (just realized that's what your thread is all about lol).

Yes rocks have small patches of cyano and gha but the purple dots are what I’m curious about. They are not attached too well to rocks and such. You can see tons of them on that frag plug picture and all over the frag rack rock. Same color as the coralline I have growing so wasn’t sure if that’s what it was. Like a major coralline bloom or something and it just didn’t attach to rocks well. Just wanted ideas

I will try to fish some out and put on a piece of paper. Was making sure they were not a pest or something. They are not mushrooms as they are paper thin can be broken in half like calcium that adheres to heaters and such.

Has anyone heard of a coralline outbreak

They are literally all over tank rocks and bare bottom. There is probably 500 of them in the small photo of frag plug and frag rack
