Purple rock turning white ?

Hello ! My problem is the title. Is this an issue I should look out for

Yeah you can always tell where they've been!

The white spots will regrow coralline pretty quickly. And it looks like your tank is probably large enough to not be overly impacted by that urchin. I just rehomed an urchin that has turned most of the rock white in my 10g nano.

Haha , my wife would never let me give him up. Thanks for the info :)
 
I have an urchin in my tank too but my rocks went white a good time before him. After about a year the epoxy starts to chip off of that liferock and you get left with white grey rock if your coralline algae isint taking over fast enough.

Well I had coralline growing in week 4 of this tank so maybe it’ll take over. I keep finding random patches of it
