Purple scraped off by snail

In my recently established aquarium I find my snail loves to climb on rocks and scrapes off the purple stuff, leaving purple dust everywhere. You can see how big color fade it is. I guess I will have a bald live rock one day! Any suggestions?

no sure. I will check. But will Ca cause any issue ? I buy saltwater from local shop which is mix of DI and salt. I test water before, Ca Mg should be normal but Alk is low.

Low Ca can cause the pink coralline on your rock to die off. I’d check it to see.

The rock appears to be real reef rock, which is painted and not coated in live Coralline.
