I dont think they are PHE's.

Here is mine without the red ring, and then mine when they have the red ring. These pics are the exact same colony.

True it's just the white mouth that says they are not to me. Really the most consistent thing as far as a paly morphing is that the mouth stays the same. IMO.

cant believe i spelled squint wrong..sigh. anyway i think the pic is too fuzzy to tell for sure. maybe austin has a better pic that can aid us on the ID.

Working on it, i just got a coolpix l12 and i can not figure out how to use the dang thing. Its impossible, grrr. I will try again tommorow.

very nice find... would be nice to see a better pic close up and the whole colony... :)

Those are definantly bigger then PHEs they look more like a large paly type polyp.....They might not even have a name.

i agree with james. i'd be interested in how they turn out under high light

They are just under a 14k 70w halide right now, i could move them into the 210 under 400's? You think that's a good idea?

How long have they been under the 70w? They look like they're stretching towards the light but that may be how they were when you got them if they are a recent find. Either way very nice.

Been in the tank about two weeks. They always strech up like that, i am going to move them to the 210 here quickly just to see how they do.
