I have had a purple stylo for the last couple of months and it has had good growth and great color. Deep vivid purple with bright white tips. I dosed Vibrant about 1.5 months ago and have stopped for the last 3 weeks. Since dosing Vibrant I have had Dino's and lost 2 Birdsnest colonies. For the last two weeks, my Stylo's polyps are not that pronounced and the tips have faded to a more brownish color. Also, it is at the top of my tank. Maybe the combination of Vibrant and high lighting caused this?

This is what it has looked like for the last couple weeks

I would stop dosing Vibrant. There are a few threds about it killing off sps. If everything else is inline then it should male a comeback.

I did stop using it almost 3 weeks ago. It killed my Nutrients and in return got Dino's from it within two weeks of using. I dosed nitrate and phosphates and Dino's cleared up. However, my Cyano was crazy. I just dosed Chemiclean 3 days ago and all my Cyano is gone. I am going to perform my second water change today and leave my tank alone for a couple of weeks. I have 25 frags coming in from Battlecorals and I am getting a little worried about it.

Maybe you dosed more than your tank could handle. I did something simliar few years back when dosing Nitrates. Cluts move on my part bringing NO from near 0 to 3PPM in 4 days thinking i was doing it slowly. Not slowly enough the corals did not like it and alot bleached. I was running high lighting at the time and could have also contributed. I still dose Nitrates but only 1 time per month but in your case maybe stop running vibrant, reduce light intensity or photoperiod, Make 1-2 waterchanges and go back to what you where doing. If you have DIno get a UV sterilizer.

It is a possiblity. The last couple weeks I was using a little more than I probably should have.
