Purple Tang help

Just noticed this huge white spot on my purple tang. Anyone got an idea of what it could be. Please help! And thank you.

My guess would be an injury or a bacterial infection. Is he eating well and acting normal? I would consider posting this on Humblefish.com to see what they have to say.

He is eating well, he’s not showing any abnormal swimming patterns. No ICH noticed. I was kinda thinking injury as well. Thanks for the advise Saltyhog.

How long has he been in the tank.
Purchased and shipped or pick up from LFS.
How long has the tank been running.

Uncle99, he’s been in for a month. Got him from LFS. And my tank has been running since October 2021. I was viewing him this evening and it actually seems like it’s going away. Here’s another picture.

Anenome coulda zapped him?
Mine had white marks too on its side and upper fin and in the morning it was gone and mine looked normal. Swam normal. Ate. Ect.
Just watch him or her and check back in 12-24hrs

The blemish is likely bacterial and may have been from previous healing. The treatment will consist of maintaining good water quality and diet amd you can add 5000ml of seachem metroplex to foods, as well as maracyn 2 or kanaplex- Both in a quarantine setting. Add oxygen via airstone during treatment.
What is current ammonia-nitrate-ph- salinity and what test kits are you using ?
What foods are you feeding ?

I'd say make sure water is good and feed a varied diet to keep him going.
