Purple tang - injury or ich or bacterial infection??

Did you notice when did it start? or it was there since you got the fish? It might be from medication as they deplete oxygen from tank.
Started when i dosed copper. Also i saw that tge infection has reduced alot. Maybe it was stressed coz i hade 3 more fished with it. Has started eating again, just one issue, it still hates lighting. I just took a long video of it, uploading on youtube. Once its uploaded, ill share here. However i cant see any velvet sign. It does eat instantly if the lights are shut. Pls see the video once i share. Thank you

Then probably its sensitive to copper or copper overwhelmed the fish and stressed it. I usually dont quarantine with light as light stress the fish because they become exposed to surrounding. I only provide ambient light thats enough for them to see the food and their surrounding. Only bright light they get exposed to is when they get transferred to DT, also for first few days they stay in shade or hide and slowly start coming out. Not all fish are like that, but I noticed this with few fish especially angels (probably because they live deep in the sea and not used to bright light).

Thats great to hear that the infection is healing, stress is probably the cause, fish with it, light, new home, transportation, etc... all these are stress factors that might weaken the immune system.

I think the spots were pretty large for velvet...but it's not impossible for him to have both [emoji15]

I think I would hold off on the antibiotics completely for the time being. The spots, heavy breathing, and light sensitivity indicate parasites and should be addressed first at this point. Once these are gone, he may even be able to fight the mild bacterial infection on his own.

I would remove all medications using carbon, buy a copper test kit, and then start again with either copper (much more slowly) or CP. If you decide to use CP, you're going to want to be sure the copper has been removed first so the test kit is important either way.

Iv already added carbon, and tang looks much better. Yes, light is sort of an issue. Since its eating well, do i give it a weeks time before dosing anything? However all the fishes Came from same tank, other then the tang, all were ok with the lights. Also the light is pretty bright. From the tank it Came, lights were more in blue side. Can that be an issue? Im feeding mysis dipped in reefplus, dr. Basslers bio fish flake food and hikari marine s. I also have lobster eggs. Can arrange for fish eggs too.

Afraid to dose copper again.. :(

Here is the video i jus took.. please look at the following, if possible do compare my previous video.

1)spot between the eyes on forehead, if u compare, its reduced like 70%.

2)Bacteria tyoe thing on stomach

3)Upper fin and part below that on the body.

If u compare, it has significantly improved.

I honestly can't see anything in this video. Keep in mind, if there is ich or velvet at play the spots will drop off as part of their life-cycle. I'm not sure I would wait a week if symptoms return. Give it a day or two and see what happens, and be ready to treat if needed.
