Yes the stringy fecal matter is whitish and the rest of it is brown colored

do you feed frozen? if you do, you can do a 5 day treatment just to be sure.

Go and get Seachem's focus and metro, they are both in powder form, after you defrost the frozen cube (ie, mysid) and drained the water, mix in the medication powders (perferrably in a medication cup like the ones that come with liquid tylenol or ibuprofen), and let soak for 5 minutes, then feed the tank like you usually do, but make sure the PT gets at least 2-3 bites from the rest of the crew.

Don't be surprised if it takes 2-3 weeks to clear. Intestinal worms can be extremely resilient.

Hey humble and fish crew my purple tang still has some whitish clear stringy poop. I've been feeding metro/focus for 2 weeks. The entire metro is almost done.

Any other reef safe med/focus in food you can recommend?

I would switch to food soaking Prazipro. If its a tapeworm, praziquantel will do a better job of clearing it than metronidazole.

Is it Several drops of prazi? And do you add focus to bind? How long should treatment take? lastly, prazi is reef safe correct? Especially just several drops soaked in food?

I've never used liquid prazi in food before. I've used general cure though which has both prazi and metro in powder form. I used a spoon that came with the focus and did a 1:1 ratio in the food. Humble might have some other thoughts, but those are mine. I hope they help.

^^ This works, or completely saturate the food with Prazipro. Pellets are porous and absorb medications nicely.
