My purple tang that I just bought has ich so I put cupramine copper in the tank and now tonight it's top fin has turned white instead of purple and I was wondering why this is happening so if anyone knows why it would be greatly appreciated if someone gave me some info about it

the top fin turned white? interesting. So will you give us some more info on what you have going on? A picture for sure.
Is he in a QT? What size tank? Any other fish in with him? What was in the water before adding the cuppramine? Like a water conditioner of some kind?

X3. When you say the fin is turning white, do you mean it has a white growth or it is turning color?

His fin is actually turning white and I just put it in there today and there's nothing in the water except for the copper

Ok, but is he in a QT? Can you snap a pic real quick? please?

But the lfs treated him before I got him and now he has it again after almost 2 weeks so I put the copper in today and now it's turning white a little bit it's not his whole fin just little parts of it

I'm new to this forum and I've never posted pictures on here so I would have to figure out how to post them on here

He's in the tank by himself and it's a 13 gallon quaritine tank

And I tested the copper and it's right so I don't know what's going on and I have to leave for work soon so hopefully he will be fine until tomorrow when I can change some water out cause it might be from him being treated all these times but I'm not sure

There is such a large range of things it could be, without a photo is is nearly impossible to tell :/

It could be Lymphocystis on his dorsal fin.

Lymphocystis:

Symptoms - Lymphocystis appears as a white or beige colored cauliflower-like growth that usually starts on the fins and spines and sometimes spreads to the body. Initially it may be small (looks like ich), and then grows in size (which is how you know it’s not ich). Lympho is a virus that many fish carry for life. Fortunately, it is rarely fatal or even harmful to the fish, and symptoms will come and go.

Treatment options - No known cure or treatment exists. However, feeding vitamin-enriched foods and maintaining pristine water conditions may expedite the “going away” process.

He keeps hiding and I have to leave for work but tomorrow I'll try to post a picture

If it's lymph he will be fine overnight... if not then we dont know until we see it. It's really easy to post a photo from your phone using the R2R app
