Purple tang with scabs

I don’t know what’s going on with my tang. It’s had these white spots on it for a month or so. Showed the picture to my local fish place but they have no idea what it is. Can someone help me. I’ve put chemicals in the water can’t remember what it was called but it was supposed to help with parasites and bacteria but I see no change.

The ring-like pattern is what bacterial infections will sometimes do. However, I would not expect a bacterial infection to stay unchanged for a month or so. Are they increasing in number and size during that time?
