while i just spent 2 hours catching mine in my 75 im fuming hot!
the past 2 days hes been trying to eat my zoas! ive had him for like 2 months now and he never bothered any thing till the last week.

hes in the sps frag tank for now.

has anyone else noticed this?

feed him more and he should bother them and wing him off a larger diet a month or two after he stops touching your zoos. my magnificent foxface did the same thing when i first got him and that's how i took care of that.

I had one for 6 years that I just sold but he never touched any coral. I agree with Justin I feed my fish a lot.

Never had that happen with mine but I feed alot too. Good luck with the new home for him.

there is only 2 fish in that tank.. mystery wrasse, chalk basslet, and the purple tang
they are getting 3 good pinches of pellets 2 times a day!

oh yea plus i always have nori in there too

like i said he is well fed how much more feeding can you do besides have nori all the time and 2 heavy feedings a day

Honestly it may be just that particular purple tang. I had the purple tang and a fox face that never touched coral but I have read where people had both eating zoas or lps. there is no guarantee.

I had a Powder Blue that would eat my leathers. I got rid of it - it was beautiful and healthy, just didn't want it eating my leathers. On the other hand, my Moorish Idol eats zoas, and I let him eat them all til I had none left. And my Majestic Angel eats torches, frogspawns, and hammers. I moved all those corals to another tank. I guess it depends on how much you like your fish versus how much you like your corals.
