Purple tang

Hi all
I was wondering how a purple tang would go with my orange spot sand sifting goby gold heal goby lawnmower blenny and dragonettes or will he cause problems

I have done lots of research on them and know they maybe problematic with other tangs but doesn't mention gobys

@vetteguy53081 has many tangs.

How large is the tank? How much rock/hiding places?

I doubt it would be an issue if the tank is appropriately sized for a tang

The tank is about 190 g and I have heaps of rock Everyone is getting along good now I just read that they can be aggressive but mainly to other tangs in there species

I wouldn’t be too worried then, but others would have better experience

added alot of fish to my purple only thing he really bothered was a newly added tang for a few days he sometimes chases my midas blenny but that is all

I have a purple tang in with my lawnmower blenny, Midas blenny, and mandarin and he has never bothered any of the three. He was added after them though.

if you want multiple tangs you should add them together though

Can you catch or isolate your goby from your tang for a week or 2.? like putting a fence on one side of your tank? I would isolate the tang rather than the goby. However if you cannot catch the tang, try to put the goby in an acclimation box.

I see no issue with introduction. My Purple is in with a diamond and thompson goby and could not care less about them. Their interest is in other tangs and some angels

You're good. There's a reason you don't find issues with those fish. They usually don't care. I mean, tangs pay more attention to open swimmers, if they eat the same foods.
