This is the first purple tip anemone that I have owned. When I got him from my local LPS he was only about 2-3” across and looked like he was fully extended. When I got home he expanded to about 8-9” and is now a huge part of the tank. Is this due to lighting or is this normal?

Tank details:
90 Gal reef ready tank
30 Gal ruby sump
2 x Vortech MP10WES
1 x gyre
lighting: maxspect RX200 LED light
Bubble Magnus SAC 7 Skimmer
Neptune Apex Jr tank manager
6” live sanded
50 lbs of dry rock

tank has been cycled for about 90 days and has already been through the diatom bloom and a small black algae outbreak in the sump due to a outdated sump. Thanks for the help

hi,sounds like it's doing pretty good :)

I really appreciate the insight. When I read other posts it seems like it’s doing well, but every once in a while it will shrivel up. Water parameters are not perfect, but they are consistent and they are not high (except Nitrate) but I always am a little critical of my own level of care. I guess if it’s not broke...
