Purple Up and Calcium Level

Hi, do folks recommend using Purple Up to promote coralline algae growth?

My calcium level is around 440ppm, I'm worried that the Purple Up could increase my calcium to an unsafe level.

Any recommendations?

Purple up is not likely to get any recommendations here. Everyone is going to want your tank parameters and then tell you how they would do it better without providing their tank parameters themselves, if that makes any sense.

I believe PurpleUp is mainly a calcium booster in which case your Ca is fine. IMO you are likely better off adding some coraline encrusted seed rock to your tank and then scraping some spores into the water. Arcreef has a couple products which contain coraline but are abit steep $$$ when scraping coraline encruted liverock will acheive similar effect.

Thanks; that's what I thought. I'm in Kenya, so can't access any scrapings.... I'll check out the Arcreef products.
