Put Tank on a Bigger Stand?

Stand should be fine. You will just have some room on each end. You could put books there. :)

Just be sure the frame of the 20 high sits on the stand width wise. I think it will, just don’t want the frame hanging over the edge.
 
I don’t know whether this answers your particular question, but I’ll throw it out there. The stand is probably strongest along the edges; If the tank is too SMALL, and rests only on the ‘top board,’ in certain situations that could cause problems.

Fair enough, thanks! Yeah, if Aqueon's dimensions are right they should fit. But yeah if any part of the tank goes over, i’m in big trouble.... :D

this is exactly what I was worried about. BUT, i’m hoping 3 inches on either side won’t make a big difference?
