So here’s an odd question: is it ok to temporarily place a wood dowel into a tank?
I 3D printed a holder for my Seneye so I can take PAR measurements. The holder requires a rod as a handle and the only one that I found that was the correct size is a wooden dowel. Any issues with having it in the tank for probably less than 30 minutes?

Here’s the holder I made.

The only thing is it might leach tannic acid abd make the water slightly brown. But carbon will remove it. Possibly any sap might spur some bacterial growth. I wouldnt worry.
