Anybody know what size adapter was used on the BRS 750 XXL to go from metric to whatever size U.S. pipe to connect to the Rollermat? I thought the said it in one of their videos but couldn't find it. Thanks

Could you post more pictures of the setup? I bought the 32 mm to 1 inch adapter but its too small for the red sea piping. The 32mm side of the adapter is about the same outside diameter of the red sea piping and doesn't fit. The next adapter you have available is 40mm and that seems like it would be too big.

Here are some quick pics that I was able to take. Really the only part that you'd need (that we don't carry) would be a 32 mm ball valve. After talking with Ron, our R&D guy who plumbed this tank, we agreed that you could also use one of the Vertex conversion ball valves instead. By going that route, you actually wouldn't need the metric to standard adapter like we used. The only downside with that is that particular ball valve is white.

Looks like in the pic the 32mm to 1in adapter is connected to the 32mm elbow on the emergency overflow. How did you get the pipe out of the elbow without breaking the pipe or elbow? Kinda odd that the 32mm side of the adapter is 32mm OD and needs to connect to a fitting but the 1in side is ID and 1in pipe fits inside the adapter.

Nevermind, looking again, looks like both ends connect to a fitting. I was expecting it to be more like a coupler.

BRS,

how is the 3x turnover working with the compact theiling and 750? Thinking about adding one to mine but would have to slow the turnover rate.

Thank you.

P.S. how long before a new filter roll is needing to be replaced?

It's been working out great! We had some issues with the rollermat using up the fleece really fast during the early months (when we had a severe bacterial bloom), but now that everything is stable, we're changing the fleece about every 2 to 2.5 weeks. We do feed this tank pretty heavily, so you might be able to get a bit more life out of your roller if you feed less.
