PVC Aquascape

id recommend a snake eel, they are rare but fish safe for the most part, small and fairly active. Zebras get massive and are a threat to knocking random stuff over
Good suggestion, I know they can be tough to find, but you’re right. The zebra will turn into a giant frag machine, appreciate the help!

In addition to using the pvc as a structure to mount rock to, you could consider using it and the holes you drill through it as a spray bar on a closed loop system to push additional flow through your rock. That would, however, involve drilling the bottom of your tank and installing bulk heads. Just a thought. Otherwise it is looking snazzy, and I can't wait to see the finished product.

You’re right inline with my thoughts, I do have a closed loop on this system. There’s a vectra l2 pulling from the right side and pushing out on the left, pvc will be dressed in a similar fashion.

Main structure, painted and in the tank. Last step is drilling frag plug holes and painting the shelf rock. ALMOST FINISHED :)

Thank you very much, can't wait for coral.. the frag holes are spaced out for bigger colonies :)
Honestly I'm excited myself to see coral in that tank, it's going to look great with coral

awesome, following along to see how they turn out after getting wet. I have seen the link you posted before, but did a quick google search on addictive reef keeping and was not super impressed with the reviews, so I've avoided that vendor.
Good deal, Ya reviews aren't great, but I've had good experiences with them. Communication could be better, and the orders usually have about a 2-week delay. BUT packaging, price, and product is top notch, I even had success with cleanup crews and gorgonians.

FINISHED! Time to fill it up!

Wanted to post an update on this aquascape, as it's been going about 6 months now. The paint I used for the rocks has held up really well, the tangs LOVE swimming under the reef and the blennies/damsels are constantly darting in and through the PVC tunnels. I added a little "beach" to the front while the remainder is BB. All of the corals are starting to come back around after ticking them off with ALK and PHOS swings. I think there's 38 fish now, so I'll have to start being picky with what else goes in, next I'm hoping for a Female blue throat trigger, and a couple more angelfish to make some trios. If anyone has questions or advice let me know!
