So today I was plumbing my 40g when my gluing skills got sloppy ......I seen there is a pvc cleaner by Oatey. If I use this am I risking anything in my reef?

I've used it before. No I'll effects.

Same here. Never had a problem. I used to just start the tank right up, but now I always run the system with regular water first to flush out any potential contamination. Then I shop vac it dry and fill it with fresh saltwater.

Just to be clear this is not for the glue or primer ....
I m asking for the stuff that removes the purple primer for clean up. Is it safe to use to clean up the purple cleaner /primer

Yes.

It is a weak solvent. I personally think it might be a weaker version of their clear primer. I have used it with no issues on new pipe to remove the writing on the pipes. I do not know if it removes the purple primer.

I can’t read the picture. Does it say what it is?
