PVC fittings for abs threaded x threaded bulkheads

Hi there, I was on bulkreefsupply.com and was going to purchase three 1' and one 3/4' threaded x threaded bulkheads from them. I could not find threaded pvc connections for the pvc plumbing on their site. Does anyone know what pvc part I need to connect the pvc plumbing to the bulkheads?

I just use schedule 40 ones from Home depot. I looked. All my bulkeads are welded with transition cement.

I use mpt×slip street L like this pic for the return lines and male adapters like the last responder posted for vertical lines, the street Ls generally harder to find and you have to order them on line but it keeps a low profile on the back of your build. To transition from the bulkhead to the PVC you should use pipe dope.

Gotcha, is pipe dope available at home depot or lowes?

A little messy but effective - just wipe away the excess. Should be available at any plumbing place, Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc.

And I agree, just get the Schedule 40 fittings - MUCH cheaper and less restrictive. Schedule 80 has thicker walls and therefore narrower opening - especially in the fittings.

It never fully hardens, not a glue. You can unscrew the fittings anytime. So no wait time.

Thank you! What would I use to seal the slip pvc for the rest of the plumbing

Clear PVC cement leaves a clean look. Oatey.
Get the primer/cleaner too. Watch some YouTube videos on prepping & gluing pipe.
Sharp edges from cutting the pipe should be deburred with a file or knife.

There's a case to be made for using 'Transition' cement when bonding ABS and PVC. But I've found that PVC cement works fine. We aren't dealing with high pressure systems here.

Abs to PVC transition is the correct product for slip joints, you may be able to get away with regular PVC cement but the bond won't be as strong, ime a sharp blow with a hammer will release regular PVC cement from abs not that I'd recommend this type of test but I would recommend useing the product made for this application.
