PVC Flow Question

Hello,

If I were to run a 1 1/4" PVC to a PVC T that split into two 3/4" pvc what kind of flow reduction would I see? With there being two 3/4" instead of one would the flow decrease much? More friction?

There are circle area calculators on the interweb. I think you will find that three 3/4" PVC pipes are the area equivalent of a single 1 1/4". So, yes, you'd see a sizable decrease in flow with just two (plus the friction losses from fittings).

True. Add to that if gravity fed or under pressure. If under pressure you don’t loose nearly as much.

Thanks. Another question,

If I run plumbing that is 1.25" all the way to the bulkhead which is 3/4" (to use loc line), how much is the flow reduced? Does this bottleneck cause the entire flow to slow down? Would using the smallest amount of 3/4" help?
