Hello, I see a lot of people using pvc for holding up live rock, hides for QT tank ect. I bought some random pvc piping from Menards yesterday for the QT tank and now I am questioning it, would like some input.

Some of the piping had stickers on them as the barcode. When I peeled the sticker off it left a nice residue that is very difficult to remove completely. A few different pieces had the barcode printed on it seems. I was able to rub my finger on the barcode and pick up some of the black ink. These both cannot be suited for any aquarium correct? Where do people buy there pvc that is label free? Am I overthinking? Thanks!

What I do is take rubbing alcohol and remove bar code and glue residue. Never had an issue with it.

Hey piranhaman00 !!!!! I switched all my PVC overt to black colored PVC which is usually furniture grade and without any printed bar-codes. Prior to that, I've used some reg PVC that had the bar-code directly printed on the PVC in black ink and also as a sticker, as you were describing. I found that soaking them in a vinegar bath takes care of both or removing with rubbing alcohol and/or adhesive remover first and then the vinegar. Hope that helps.
