Will you be submerging any painted pvc? You want to shoot for acrylic based paints like kyrlon’s fusion line of paintsI’m considering buying the schedule 40 pvc pipe for my reef tank. Will this be safe to spray paint the white with this?

If this is for PVC outside of tank/sump then you should be okay.
If this is for PVC that will be in the tank/sump then it will eventually start to chip away (faster in display tank due to animals). Your best bet would be to use furniture grade PVC that is already the color you want.
