Pvc plumbing

I'm using Amazon for my valves. They are pretty pricey so that cuts the costs immediately. Depends what type of pipes you want as well. If you have long runs of PVC then your local Home depot or Lowes. Colored pipes are roughly 10 bucks for 5 feet of pipe. I'm in the process of buying my plumbing pieces right now. I have also checked out Marinedepot.com and BRS. Their prices are comparable. Depending on your location and timing as well....there is a Reefapolooza coming to LA on Oct 7, 8th. I'm holding fast on a bit of spending to see what discounts or deals might come from that show. Check out this link as well if you have not heard of it. They also have shows in Orlando and New York. http://www.reefapaloozashow.net/. Hope this helps.

Cepex valves at BRS are top-of-the-line equipment. But they aren't cheap. World of difference between Cepex and the cheap ball valves at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. The cheap ones do get hard to turn the more you use them; Cepex does not. I used Cepex on my DT; I didn't use Cepex on my mixing station while trying to save a few bucks. Now I'm kicking myself because I use the valves on the mixing station more than the DT and the cheap ball valves are a real pain to turn at times. Lesson learned.

+1

+1 here too. While I used Home Depot/Lowes for most of my shopping, they only have copper or brass gate valves which I wouldn't want in my tank

Yes and yes. I made the mistake of using ball valves on my current tank... never again. There really is no such thing as fine tuning a ball valve (at least the cheap ones I have) and that can be a huge pain. I have to resort to tapping one side until I think it moves, wait 15 minutes, and repeat until I get it where I want it.

I am not by my computer right now, but message me and I will send you the links I used. Best prices I could find, better than homedepot, lowes, Amazon etc..

For my pipes I used grey schedule 40 conduit from Home Depot along with schedule 80 fittings I purchased from a mix of online retailers, BRS, Marine Depot (good prices on Spears gate valves) and https://www.pvcfittingsonline.com/ their prices are great but the shipping can get pricey. I would recommend getting a few extra fittings at least if your using Schedule 80, they are hard to find other than online.

Here you go I found it. I bought everything I needed for my plumbing here:

Supplyhouse.com

Savko plastic pipe&fit

Can you kick that out to everyone by chance. I'm still shopping and could use the help. Any help much appreciated.

formufit.com you'll find the best pricing on the colored PVC pipe and fittings to go along with them. If you know someone who runs a contracting business, you can't beat wholesale pricing at zoro.com.

Tip: use "clear" primer and "clear" pvc glue. Most primers are purple and look terrible. Much nicer final product by using "clear". Hard to find "clear" primer. I ended up buying it through Amazon.

Home Depot carries clear primer, well at least here in Canada anyway. My clear primer turned blue anyway after all my blue pvc plumbing lol
