Hey guys, so I was plumping my new tank and had my sicce pump in place while I was dry fitting and gluing everything. I noticed, after priming one of the pumps that a little bit of primer made its way down to the pump, I rinsed it out and now have it soaking in vinegar and water. My question is, will I be okay to use this pump going forward? I usually use it to mix up salt water and pump water for water changes, I’m nervous the primer will have negative effects. What do you guys think? As many of you know I tend to overthink the little things.

I think you'll be absolutely fine using it.

Edit: I tend to use the one step primer/glue now for pvc, but I've never seen ill effects on livestock after using any pvc glue or primers

The primer is fine in terms of water quality. It’s made for drinking water systems. If there is an issue it would be failure of whatever parts the primer got onto. The primer softens and weakens plastic. I spilled some on a threaded output of a pump once and it melted off the threads. I ended up having to cement the fitting to it so it didn’t leak all over.
