PVC project board inside Aquarium?

Hello everyone!

I was wondering about easy ways to darken the baffles in a sump/refugium to prevent algae growth in the other compartments. I was wondering if I could simply cut some PVC project board and fix it to the baffles inside the aquarium. Is there a problem with doing that?

I would say as long as it is cleaned good it will be fine. Use vinegar or something
