PVC support and removable parts. How do they work together?

I know you're supposed to support PVC so the weight of it doesn't put pressure on your bulkhead. I've seen those plastic supports that you drill into the stand. But if you have unions so you can remove parts when you need to, do you have to remove the supports too? I'm finishing up a build so any advice is appreciated!

You can also find nylon zip ties with a screw hole in them at any hardware. Screw a screw or drive a small headed (finish) nail in the stand, slip the screw hole loop over it and snug up. Cheap enough you can cut and replace it each time or if it has enough slack in it you can unscrew and slip the pipe or fitting out and reuse it.
