Pvc , vinyl tubing....glue question

Hello everyone

I need to run this vinyl tubing from a spigot in the manifold of my return pump will this vinyl tubing that is black in color. Will this stick to other PVC pipes I think the answer is yes if I use PVC cement. Will this stick to the Overflow plastic U - tubing if so should I use silicone or PVC cement?

Typically with vinyl tubing people use a hose Barb fitting between the rigid PVC and the vinyl.
You can use a "slip" hose Barb fitting or a "Threaded" fitting depending on the fitting at the end of the PVC. A slip fitting is common. The threaded, while also common, requires a threaded fitting as well.

Do not use it in the fashion of photo #3. That will not work...even with an endless amount of glue, just spells disaster and FLOOD.

PVC solvent will not glue vinyl tube to PVC. Flex PVC is a form of hose and will glue to PVC ..... because it is PVC

you can either use a hose barb, or get tubing that fits the outside diameter of the pvc pipe.

I used 1.25" ID tubing, and heated it up in hot water and slid it over 1" pvc pipe, let it cool and its impossible to get off without reheating it.

That forsure would work in our low pressure applications
But, I would use glue in the joint as reassurance.

You want tubing that is going to fit over the pvc and U-tube. If you go inside you'll be restricting the flow even more, and you don't want that on a hang on overflow

Yea. I like to give simple practical solutions.

I used pvc attached to 4-5" of tubing and back to pvc on my drain line. This way if I ever need to remove plumbing in a emergency I can cut the tubing and not ruin my pvc work
