Pyramid butterfly extreme popeye

Hi

One of my Fish has extreme popeye (only 1 eye)
-I took him out of display & treated him with : Melafix (API) & also added 4 tea spoon of Epsomsalt (Ingredient: Magnesium sulfate hyptahydrate USP.)

Has been 2 days but no noticeable difference: Feel like it gotten worse

He eats well & has no sings of stress or diseases : Doesn't look like flukes as I did fresh water dip & treated by DT with Prazi prior to moving him to QT.

I have orderd Kanaplex (should be arriving tomorrow), ill probably do a water change run carbon then dose Kanaplex.

Is there something else that I might have missed ? any tips or advice be much appreciated

You should repeat epsom salt dose after 48hrs and then wait another day or two to see if any improvements. Antibiotics may help if indeed a popeye but more often than not it’s an injury causing the swelling. Unfortunately, in some cases nothing works.

Neoplex and Kanaplex are good things to use on this situation.

The one I have used with good success if the triple threat. It is the combination of Kanaplex, Metroplex, both from Seachem and Furan-2 from API. All used according to the directions at the same time for a minimum of 2 weeks. I did not see results for the first 5 days or so. My angels eye started out as an injury, then became infected.

Lots of good folks here taught me how to use this. Saved my angels eye.

Can Neoplex and Kanaplex be used in a combination ?
I will probably feed food soaked in Metroplex as well

You can use them together. You can use the triple threat just exchange the neoplex for Metroplex.

Mel and humble are both away from R2R currently.

Neoplex is great for infections involving eyes.
