I saw an ad for a product called “Pyrodinos” and the ad showed a bag of Liquid that was greenish yellow during the day and glow a bright blue in the dark (seemed cool to think all of your live rock would look like something from the avatar movie in the dark) so on the bag you read “Pyrofarms, Pyrodinos, *picture of a single called organism* dinoflagellates”. The article goes into stating how they are basically a bioluminescent photosynthetic algae and also a phytoplankton which from what I understand that’s what Dinos are “considered”. They go onto say how they contributed to so and so amount of the oceans food chain and what not. But it never said anything about an aquarium nor did any of the pictures have an aquarium in them. But I saw someone asking if they were reef safe. And from my understanding dinoflagellates are a nuisance and almost impossible to fight and they will outcompete coral and other beneficial bacteria and algae? So is this a scam or is it a thing to purposely add them to a tank?
